Setting up an EOS Anchor wallet on Windows and macOS using a seed phrase
In this forum topic, we will cover the steps to set up an EOS Anchor wallet on Windows and macOS using a seed phrase.
1. Ensure that you have created your EOS account and that you have your seed phrase. If not, please do so using our How to create an EOS account from an iPhone/iPad using Anchor walkthrough before proceeding.
2. Go to https://greymass.com and choose Anchor.
3. Choose Download for Free Today.
4. Choose the Download button for either Windows or macOS.
5. Execute the file that you have just downloaded to install Anchor.
6. Ensure you are using the EOSIO network if asked.
7. Create your Anchor account by choosing Setup New Wallet.
8. Choose Existing Account.
9. Choose Import from key certificate.
10. Create your Anchor password.
11. Proceed by either scanning your certificate with your webcam or manually entering your seed phrase.
12. Only choose to import the Active key, not the owner key.
13. Choose Import Account.
14. Enter your Anchor password to proceed.
